A legendary slope? The Nationale

Voted Best Resort in western Switzerland, Crans-Montana is very popular among top-notch athletes. The scene of three Swiss victories in the 1987 World Championships, this slope will again welcome the skiing elite for the Men's Alpine Ski World Cup 2025.

A long hike? Sentier Panorama 4 000

This itinerary offers panoramic views of the Rhone Valley and the famous snow-capped "4,000 m peaks" of the Alps (14 km, 4 hrs 25 mins.). From the Cervin to Mont-Blanc via the Zinalrothorn, a 360° view awaits you.

A personality? Jean-Marie Ellenberger

This architect born in Bern who designed many buildings in Geneva contributed towards shaping the resort's identity. His achievements include the Bernese Clinic (1949) and the Super-Crans Tower (1968), recalling Le Corbusier's Radiant City.

A festival? Crans-Montana Classics

A must event for music-lovers, Crans-Montana Classics proposes an unprecedented year-round concert program in all four corners of the resort, notably on the famous Severiano Ballesteros golf-course.

A historic year? 1911

On January 7, 1911, Crans-Montana hosted the very first downhill ski race in the history of winter sports. A few months later, this success was followed by inauguration of the funicular railway linking the resort to Sierre.

A trendy activity? Trail-Hiking

In Crans-Montana, all fans of mountain hiking find something to meet their desires with almost a dozen signposted paths. From 2 to 55 km with ascending elevations from 300 to 4,200 m, all levels of hiking are catered for.

A Museum? Fondation Opale

Nestling on the banks of the Lac du Louché in Lens, this museum founded in 2018 by collector Bérengère Primat proposes a dialogue between nations and cultures through art. Must-see: its unique collection of aboriginal art.

A speciality? Valais Wines

The largest wine-producing canton in the country, the Valais offers a rare diversity of grape varieties. From Petite Arvine to Cornalin, including Fendant, Humagne Rouge and Malvoisie, Valaisan wines can claim unique, assertive character.
