FROM ROUGEMONT T O CRANS-MONT ANA

Since February 2025, Jean-Yves Blatt is the new General Manager of Six Senses Crans-Montana.

Born in Rougemont, Jean-Yves Blatt grew up in an environment where work was a fundamental value, helping his mother who ran a guest-house for children in the family home. “Those years gave me a real sense of labor, resourcefulnesss, and the importance of the family,” he confides. After graduating from the École Hôtelière of Lausanne, he cultivated his affinities for luxury and hospitality marketing at the Beau-Rivage Palace and Park Hotel Gstaad. Thanks to this expertise, he then climbed the ladder to manage prestigious addresses such as the Chedi Andermatt and Villars Alpine Resort. His vision of hospitality focuses on the creation of authentic experiences. “The future of luxury hotels lies in a balance between innovation and proximity, offering high-end services while remaining accessible and human.” One of his ambitions is to make the resort a real place for living for its Swiss clientele, giving priority to short stays, for example, “though full of new experiences”. Beyond these goals, Jean-Yves Blatt attaches great importance to remaining rooted in reality and benefitting from one’s loved ones. The manager’s costume is thus readily exchanged for an apron to treat his family, or a fishing rod for a special moment with his sons. “These moments are essential to keep inspiration and a sense of balance in our daily lives.” Proof that success also depends on simple pleasures.
